We are currently looking for an Organisation & Finance Director (one full-time employee)
Your principal tasks :
- Coach, empower and manage the Organisational Support and Finance department (about 6 people), by developing their talents and guiding them towards success.
- Develop and implement an overall vision and strategic direction for all the internal and external organisational aspects of Greenpeace Belgium, among which finance, technology, facilities, legal, administration, governance, GDPR and risk management.
- Set up long term financial objectives (figures, ratios, kpi’s), analyse periodical results, anticipate changes, oversee the annual budget setting process, for final approval by the Executive Director and the Board
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing & Fundraising Director to monitor income and evaluate the cost effectiveness of our various income streams.
- Develop professional internal financial systems, policies, controls that are appropriate within the national and international legal, tax and contractual context.
- Guide your team in developing strategies, policies, methods and guidelines regarding matters under their responsibilities.
- Analyse the technological needs of the organisation and develop the appropriate strategies bringing a decisive advantage to the different operational teams.
- Make sure that the by-laws and house rules and in general all policies comply with the applicable legislation.
- Participate actively in the international Greenpeace finance community where you will be in regular contact with fellow directors from offices around the world to exchange knowledge and best practices.
- Contribute, as a member of the Leadership Team, to the organisational decisions and policies and report directly to the Executive Director.
Pré-requis du poste
Your profile :
- You have extensive experience in finance and organisational projects, to provide expert financial guidance and to ensure compliance with national and European legislation.
- You have acquired excellent knowledge and experience in financial analysis and reporting, accounting (local and international accounting standards), ICT (+ other technologies such as data, telecommunications, optronics, …), business administration (legal, governance, contracts, insurance,), facility management, GDPR ...
- You draw strong motivation from Greenpeace’s values and objectives.
- You are fluent in English, French and Dutch.
- You are a born leader and an inspiring and coaching people manager.
- You are a strong organiser
- You perform well under pressure and are stress resistant
- You have experience or knowledge of the fight against racism, sexism or other systems of oppression.
