Greenpeace is a global movement of people who are passionate about protecting the natural world from destruction. Our vision is a greener, safer, and more just planet — one where all life can thrive for generations to come.
At Greenpeace, everyone is welcome. We believe that a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace makes us stronger and better equipped to fulfill our mission. We are committed to building a culture that reflects the richness of the communities we serve and where all voices are heard and valued.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Lead and inspire the Organisation & Finance Department (6+ people), fostering a culture of empowerment, collaboration, and continuous development.
Shape and implement the strategic direction for all internal operational domains, including finance, IT, facilities, legal, administration, governance, GDPR, and risk management.
Set long-term financial objectives, monitor performance indicators, oversee budgeting processes, and ensure sound financial health, in collaboration with the Executive Director and Board.
Partner with the Marketing & Fundraising Director to track income streams and assess return on investment.
Develop robust financial systems and policies, ensuring legal, tax, and contractual compliance both nationally and internationally.
Guide your team in crafting effective strategies, policies, and processes across their areas of responsibility.
Assess and advance the organisation’s technological capabilities, ensuring operational excellence and innovation.
Ensure legal and policy compliance, including statutes, house rules, and internal procedures.
Engage actively with the international Greenpeace finance community, exchanging knowledge and best practices with peers across the globe.
Contribute to the Senior Management Team, helping to steer the organisation’s overall strategy and performance, and report directly to the Executive Director.
What We Offer:
A full-time permanent contract;
A stimulating, purpose-driven work environment;
A competitive benefits package, including meal vouchers, end-of-year prime hospitalisation insurance, labour time reduction, additional leave, and remote work options;
A meaningful, high-impact leadership role within a globally respected organisation.
