About the Role
The Executive Director (ED) provides visionary leadership, ensuring alignment with Greenpeace’s core values. Reporting to the Board, the ED oversees governance, human resources, financial sustainability, and external relations. They will also play a key role in maintaining ethical fundraising strategies, ensuring Greenpeace Belgium’s independence from corporate and government funding.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a strategic plan in collaboration with experts, the Board and Greenpeace International (GPI).
Ensure financial sustainability and resilience.
Ensure compliance with national and international policies.
Foster an inclusive and positive organisational culture.
Represent Greenpeace nationally and internationally.
Oversee financial management and ethical fundraising strategies.

Your profile
A participative and sensitive leader with a strong commitment to environmental justice, strategic thinking, and people management skills.
Essential Skills:
Proven leadership experience in NGOs or related sectors.
Strong governance, stakeholder management, and strategic planning expertise.
Affinity in ethical fundraising.
Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
Commitment to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion and safety (JEDIS).
Ability to speak and understand English/French/Dutch.
